Why I like Mr Carter’s classes
I started Mr Carter’s Little Dragons last year but I am now in the Juniors and it has helped me in many different ways. It has helped me make lots of new friends and I have become a lot fitter. It has helped me to be a better boy and to want to help other people more and to think of others and to be kind. I can concentrate on things a lot better than before and the more I train the better I become and I feel confident about myself. I like the classes as we train hard and have to listen but we also have lots of fun. I like the competitions and I enjoy fighting. I like points fighting and weapons’ form but I prefer continuous as training with Mr Carter and Carol and Josh’s Fight Class has helped me to learn that if I want something to go for it and not hold back and be confident in myself. I can’t wait until I’m old enough to train in Mr Carter’s BJJ classes. I think everyone should do kickboxing as it has helped me so much and I love my training.
Warriors – Where we go one, we go all!
If you’re looking to get fit, gain some skills, build confidence and make new friends then look no further… Warriors is the club for you. I joined six years ago as a gawky, awkward and shy teenager. Hesitant at first, as I had always assumed that this would be another of those “black belts showing off and making everyone else feel stupid” kind of clubs. I couldn’t have been more wrong. From day one, Mr Carter and the other students made me feel welcome and part of the club. Having shied away from P.E, my fitness was in the toilet and let’s just say, I was never the most athletic. Six years on, I’m about to go for my black belt. To anyone reading this, who thinks that they could never do it, let me tell you that you most definitely can. Come and give it a go! You have nothing to lose (except perhaps weight) and everything to gain!
Would recommend to everyone!
Great group of people and coach to train with, would recommend to everyone!
Absolute great bunch of people
Absolute great bunch of people. Being one of the few girls training I’ve been warmly welcomed and initiated into the unidentified bruises club! If any ladies are thinking of joining but are put off by it being a predominantly male environment – don’t be!
Excellent club
Excellent club. The whole family attend classes. If you want to get fit, in a friendly, encouraging environment this is the club for you!
Warriors has 100% played an integral part of Charlie’s development
Having just renewed Charlie’s licence, I can honestly say that Charlie joining the Warriors as a Lil Dragon was one of the best things, as a parent, that I could ever have done for him. This past year, he has grown so much in all areas of development physically, socially, emotionally and mentally and his confidence in himself has exploded. Warriors has also helped Charlie in School as he has learnt about respect, discipline, positive attitude and application/effort and he now understands that if he puts more in, he’ll get more back and not just in training but also in his education and this showed in his last Parents’ Evening (his best so far) as his reading, spelling and maths attainment levels are already that of a comprehensive school pupil and Charlie is a Year 4 Primary School Pupil. Charlie puts the effort into doing extra reading, spelling, writing and math activities and also extra training and he now enjoys a good and healthy balance of training hard, working hard, eating well and resting and he asks to do extra practice at home. Warriors has 100% played an integral part of Charlie’s development and his approach to his daily activities whatever they maybe.
